i had been itching to get out of the city for a day and go on a little road trip, so this past saturday i rounded up alex, marcus, matt, and michael and we took off for a day at long beach.
we got there around 10.15, set up michael’s tent and matt’s umbrella, and spent the next 4 hours splashing in the sea, reading in the shade, and chatting and snacking. eventually alex, marcus, michael, and i went on an adventure to find food, and when we got back we packed up to head back to the city.
it was a great day and exactly what i needed. quality time with great friends, a nice drive, some yummy snacks, and lots of time in and by the sea. hopefully i can manage a few more days like this before the beaches close for the season.
