memphis got a usl soccer club this year, and i managed to make it to a home match last week. christina and i went to the brass door beforehand and sang some songs with the bluff city mafia before walking with them over to auto zone park.

we didn’t sit in the supporters section for this match, but i will join them for a future one when i have the energy. for this one christina and i sat along the sideline where we had a view of the entire pitch.

sadly we lost 1-0, but we had fun cheering along and catching up [and in my case, ogling wes charpie as much as possible]. it’s been such a long time since i saw a soccer match in person, and it was a great atmosphere.

here’s to many more in the future, and hopefully a win next time.
