when i started working at BRIDGES last fall, jesse, our evaluation manager, encouraged me to join the laid back ladies soccer league for the winter-spring season. my friend dillard also plays in the league, so between the two of them they talked me into it. even though most of the women who play in the league have been playing for many years, they welcome women of all ages and abilities and really just have fun. i didn’t get to as many games as i would have liked, but i enjoyed the ones i was able to make and it was great to meet and get to know so many cool women in memphis.

i don’t know if i will rejoin in the fall with my schedule, but i am glad to have had the experience and to be able to cross this off my list.
