when the lineup was announced earlier this year for the governors ball music festival with hozier as the sunday night headliner, alexa and i immediately made plans to go. i was also excited for glass animals, and alexa introduced me to raye and royel otis, so we bought our tickets and added it to our calendar.

as luck would have it our friend larissa was also in town and was able to get a ticket, and we had a trio outing to the festival this past sunday. we had a great time singing and dancing along, people watching, seeing what free stuff was available, and wandering the grounds. it was a long day and my feet were very sore by the end of it but it was totally worth it to be able to sing along with all my favorite hozier songs. raye was also fantastic, royel otis was good fun, and while i’m sure glass animals was good the sound on their stage was weird and also we wanted a good spot for hozier so we had to leave their set early.

overall it was a great day, and depending on lineup i will definitely consider going again.
