veen on the road: a tale of two new yorks.

i’m going to split these new york recaps into two parts, because i had two very different trips combined into one.

first, i flew up solo and had 4.5 days of running about town with maggie, fitting myself into her daily routine as best i could and catching up with meg, ryan, and charlie one night and ian, courtney, and dakota the next. and then on friday i joined kat, jeremy, alex, and lauren for a best friend weekend the likes of which new york has never seen.

i have a deep love for new york, partly because there is so much to see and do and eat there and also because i have some great friends and family there who take me under their wing and welcome me into their lives.

i have had the opportunity to explore new york on my own and with friends, and each visit brings something new and unique. this visit brought first visits to the transit museum, sleep no more, and color factory, along with return visits to the strand, the met, bryant park, and the museum of natural history.

i’ll recap both sides of my recent visit soon, but for now i’ll leave you with these photos to pique your interest.
