hamilton finally came to memphis, and on saturday my mother and i went to the orpheum to see it come to life. i saw the show in new york in 2017, but this was the first time my mother saw it after years of my making her listen to the soundtrack over and over.

in a word, it was amazing. i love this show so, so much, and it was so great to see it in my city. it is fun and entertaining and emotional and all the other words you can think of. listening to the soundtrack is one thing, but actually being able to see it live and in person is a whole other experience.

i am so excited to see it again at the end of the month and to see what is the same and what changes between now and then.

other highlights included: kat was in town for a few days / saw toy story 4 with kaché and tree / sunday funday with sarah.
