we started our training for summer conferences this week, so i spent the weekend laying low and practicing some self care ahead of the craziness that is about to ensue.
i watched tv. i went for a long run. i stocked up on snacks. i spent most of saturday afternoon in the pool. i went to bed early. i made food for the week. i did some yoga. i got a manicure and pedicure. i spent some time at my parents’ house. i caught up with a friend over ice cream. i caught up with another friend over drinks.
it was exactly the weekend i needed. there was no pressure to be anywhere at a certain time. i had no obligations that couldn’t wait for another day. i did exactly what i wanted to do, and it was great.
other highlights included: dinner with chris and jessi / my uncles came to town / a gus’s lunch / porch time with alex, jeremy, and solomon
