grizzlies basketball was one of the things i missed the most when i was in india, and i am beyond ecstatic that the season is underway once again. my mother and i bought a 12-game ticket package, and i plan on bumming or buying as many supplemental tickets as i can over the course of the season.

last night’s home opener wasn’t included in our group of games, but being that it was the home opener and my mother didn’t have work today, we bought ourselves some tickets and made our way down to the forum to show our support.

we enjoyed some entertainment courtesy of the grizzline before heading in to grab our free t-shirts and check out the new merchandise in the grizz den. we walked away with more swag than we need, but then again, you can never really have too much grizzlies swag.

the game itself was a heart-stopper, as all great grizzlies games are. after beginning the game down 20-3, our guys gritted and grinded their way back, eventually winning a nail biter in the last minute of the game.

a lot has changed since last season – new coach, new players, new injuries – but at its core this team is still all heart. and i for one cannot wait to see what this season has in store.
