belonging is belonging to yourself first.
alex, neva, and i are all huge fans of brené brown and her research on vulnerability, shame, and living as a wholehearted person, so when we found out she was working on a netflix special we were ecstatic. we managed to finagle our schedules to watch it together last tuesday, and it was phenomenal.
brown’s book daring greatly is one of my top 10 favorite books, and so many things she shared in her special added to the importance of the book and her work. it was great to watch her on stage again [her ted talk is one of my favorites and one of the most viewed talks] and to learn a little bit more about her and her work.
i get so busy chasing extraordinary moments that i forget to notice the ordinary moments.
i have already ordered another of her books and plan to watch the special again soon so i can take better notes.
other highlights included: another run by the river / ran into an old friend in the denver airport / awesome 48 hours in salt lake city with jesse and jonathan / curry bowl lunch with the parents / hibernated at home for the weekend
