it took me a few months longer than i anticipated, but i finally crossed 150 miles run this year.

with my training picking up for december’s st jude half, my mileage has slowly been increasing from week-to-week. my long runs are getting longer, which has been great for me mentally. after last year’s virus, i wasn’t sure how my joints would hold up after long runs, and although they are a little sore, i am chugging along.
i’m not sure if i’ll make it to 300 by the end of the year – that’s a lot of miles in only 3 months – but i’ll come pretty close. at this point i have already run more this year than in the last two combined, so i’m going to call that a win.

in other news, we have a challenge winner! cindy crossed 300 miles the first week of october, and shalini followed a few days later. they are both killing it this year, and i wouldn’t be surprised if one or both of them breaks 400 for the year.
for me, it is onward and upward. next stop: 200!
xx
Way to go! Congratulations!! A friend of mine recently ran the Melbourne marathon – so inspired by this kind of thing!

Thank you! I’ve still got a long way to go, but documenting it on here helps keep me honest 🙂
