december was admittedly a slow reading month for me. i gave myself a little break after my two long reads of november, and with everything else that comes along at the end of the year, i put reading on the back burner. in the end, i only managed to complete one book this month:
choose your own autobiography by neil patrick harris. inspired by his favorite choose your own adventure books from his childhood, neil patrick harris’ autobiography allows the reader to become the central character, choosing his or her destiny over the course of the book and following neil along his life’s trajectory. it was a fun way to learn about his life, and i liked sidetracking into some of the fake chapters as well, just because nph is a great writer. i do have a feeling i missed out on a few moments, but i can always go back and choose different adventures and see where i end up. it’s a fun read // 4 out of 5 stars
currently reading: knight kyle and the magic silver lance by oliver potzsch. i am always on the lookout for new books to buy for my various kiddos, so i downloaded this one when it showed up as a kindle first option a few months ago. i decided it was fitting, since i am heading down to baton rouge today to spend a few days with lisa and jonathan and their two boys.
i am still on a book-buying ban, but i am always adding new books to my list. what’s on your reading wish list for 2017?
xx
