interesting things from around the interwebs:

a long but interesting read about the lowline, a proposed underground park in new york city’s lower east side.

have you heard about the vogue videos where they ask celebrities 73 questions in 6ish minutes? i watched the blake lively and daniel radcliffe ones, and now i’m kind of obsessed.

just in case you’ve not yet seen adele’s new music video. so excited she’s back.

33 awesome dads.

the 30 most influential teens of 2015 — first on the list is memphis native moziah bridges, founder of mo’s bows. congrats, mo! way to make memphis proud.

the story of a 5-year-old girl battling charcot-marie-tooth disease. i’ve only read part 1 so far, and i’ve already cried about 4 times. it’s heartbreaking, but it’s definitely worth the read.

want to boost your emotional intelligence? watch these 5 awesome ted talks.

marlon james on winning this year’s man booker prize. i’m pretty excited about reading this one in a few years.

jodi on why storytelling is so important.

ellen surprised a school in frayser [on the outskirts of memphis] with supplies to help the staff support their students. she’s kind of the best.

my uncle’s famous mutton balls were featured in the hindu this week! they are seriously delicious, and when he offered to send them to me in bangalore, i really had to think long and hard before assuring him it wasn’t necessary. although, after reading this article, i’m thinking maybe i made the wrong decision.

in case you missed it:

last weekend was homecoming at rhodes, and seeing the photos friends were posting reminded me of our epic 10-year reunion last october. it remains one of my top highlights of 2014, and i am already looking forward to our next reunion in 2019.

xx
