in early february my cousin balaji who lives in toronto called to ask if i was free at the end of march to meet in boston. he was going to spend a week or so with our cousin ravi and thought it would be fun if abi and i could go as well so that we could all get together. we compared calendars and figured out easter weekend would work for everyone, and balaji’s wife aarthi and abi’s husband christian were both able to join so we could have a proper reunion.

we spent 3.5 days eating, catching up, telling stories, laughing, telling ghost stories, and generally enjoying each other’s company. and as an added bonus, i snuck away for a few hours on saturday to see lauren and sam and meet their pup george who is my newest best friend. it was so lovely to see the both of them [for the first time since their wedding!], and i’m very glad the timing worked out.

we realized we need to prioritize these reunions more so hopefully we’ll be able to make it an annual affair going forward. and until then, here’s to family.
